Przygody Batu-tá / The adventures of Batu-tá

Spektakl przywołuje tradycję ulicznego teatru lalek i węgierskiego bohatera o jarmarcznym rodowodzie, László Vitéza, który podobnie jak angielski Punch potrafi dać nauczkę każdemu, nawet jeśli trzeba zmierzyć się ze Śmiercią.

Tutaj jednak bohaterem jest ich kuzyn z dalekiej Afryki o imieniu Batu- tá. Są do siebie bardzo podobni i nie boją się nikogo ani niczego. Batu- tá wyrusza za „Wielką Wodę”, by zdobyć pieniądze dla swej biednej spragnionej wody wioski. I na pewno nie pozwoli się oszukać.

The performance refers to the tradition of the street puppet theatre and the Hungarian hero of a tawdry descent, László Vitéz, who, like the English Punch, can teach anyone a lesson, even if he has to face Death.

The hero of the play, however, is their cousin from a distant Africa, named Batu- tá. They are very much alike and are not afraid of anyone and anything. Batuta sets off for the „Big Water” to get money for his poor village which had run out of water. And surely, he won’t let himself be fooled.
