Helena jest inna niż rówieśniczki: urodziła się z… rękawicami bokserskimi zamiast dłoni. Śmieją się z niej inne dzieci, trudno jej się pisze i je, nie mówiąc o otwarciu paczki chipsów. Ale któregoś dnia ma sen, że dzięki swoim nietypowym rękom pojedzie na olimpiadę. Pod okiem ojca, byłego sportowca, rozpoczyna treningi. Jej mama jest przeciwna: boks nie jest dla dziewczynek, Helena jest jednak uparta i pilnie ćwiczy.

Gdy któregoś dnia staje w obronie prześladowanego przez kolegów brata, jej magiczne dłonie znikają. Odtąd musi liczyć wyłącznie na siebie i swoją pracę.

Gong! to historia o poszukiwaniu siebie i swojej drogi. O walce z przeciwnościami i uporze w dążeniu do celu. A także o tym, że czasem coś, co wydaje się dziwactwem i ciężarem, okazuje się być najlepszym prezentem od losu.

Helena is different from her peers: she was born with… boxing gloves instead of hands. Other children laugh at her, and she has difficulty writing or eating, let alone opening a bag of chips. But one day she has a dream that thanks to her unusual hands, she will go to the Olympics. Under the guidance of her father, a former athlete, she begins training. Her mother is against it: boxing is not for girls, but Helena is stubborn and trains diligently.

One day, when she stands up for her brother, who is being bullied by his friends, her magical hands disappear. From then on, she must rely only on herself and her work.

Gong! is a story about finding yourself and your path. About fighting against adversity and perseverance in pursuing a goal. And also about how sometimes something that seems odd and burdensome turns out to be the best gift from fate.
